![]() ![]() ![]() Sadly, there is a strong undercurrent of transphobia at the management and corporate levels in this company, even if they would never admit it. The company has backed her up on this by trying to attach size restrictions and other silly rules that would render the pins either unusable or unreadable. In Minneapolis, the unionized downtown store crew members have been wearing pins even though their captain has tried over and over again to intimidate them into stopping. Some captains have zero problem with them, other captains refuse to let you wear them and give some BS response about how they're not professional. From what I understand, pronoun pins are treated as very much at the captains discretion and continue to be a issue that corporate seems to feel is divisive and refuses to take a stand on. Pronoun pins are allowed as an "exception" to the uniform code, and that's outlined in the bulletin that several ppl have mentioned. I've been told that they are very by the book as a regional. Update 2: apparently my regional is someone named Yolanda. ![]() But is it worth potentially risking my job? I've never done anything like this so I'm just not sure how to feel about it. I know that this pain won't solve that problem but it will give me an easy way to correct people without having to explain too much. I should be fighting for this because it really does affect me heavily when I'm constantly misgendered. I'm really not sure how far I'm willing to go.
